Dear Member,

About a year back, there was a BIS attempt to prepare a Storm Water Manual. But, unfortunately, there is not much progress in the work. Still some aspects of the design standards would be available in the relevant BIS codes.
Runoff routing models (SWMM, RAFTS, DRAINS) that are being used by you should work for Indian conditions too if one chooses the parameters suitably and makes suitable changes/adjustments.
You should be able to get rainfall data from the Indian Meteorological Department.
