I will suggest a simple and economic system for recharging water used for bathing and washing of clothes which constitute almost 65% of the total water used. In the area of 1.5ft x 40 ft soil space you have, set aside 2.5 sq ft area per occupant in the house. Over this, plant Canna indica at a distance of 1ft between them. Water them with good water for three weeks. Thereafter divert the above water on to this bed. Your grey water will be cleaned and charged into the soil. You can also plant one or two bananas in between and harvest a good crop of bananas. If you get in touch with me, I can give you more details.
